Broughton crossroads sees emergency services attend latest crash

A notorious crossroads was shut once again due to a crash.

Emergency services attended the Broughton crossroads during Thursday (26 September) lunchtime.

Preston Police and the North West Ambulance Service were pictured in attendance at the junction of Woodplumpton Lane, Garstang Road and Whittingham Lane around 1.30pm.

A police spokesperson said the crash involved two cars and involved minor injuries.

The ambulance service said one person had been taken to hospital.

The crossroads has seen numerous crashes since the road layout was amended in the wake of the Broughton Bypass – James Towers Way – opening in recent years.
