Biker in hospital as Garstang Road in Fulwood re-opens after crash

A biker has been taken to hospital after a crash in Fulwood.

Garstang Road was shut in both directions between Lytham Road and Regent Drive.

Preston Police told Blog Preston the crash involved a motorbike and a van.

The motorbike rider, aged in his 70s, has serious injuries and has been taken to Royal Preston Hospital.

The crash took place around 1pm on Monday (9 September).

Police advised the road was re-opened around 2.30pm.

Motorists were being urged to use alternative routes such as Black Bull Lane and Sharoe Green Lane in Fulwood.

Anyone with information or who witnessed the crash is asked to call police on 101 and refer to log 548.
