Sting 3.0 will headline the Saturday night

Preston will be all over your TV screens and radio this weekend as BBC Radio 2 In The Park comes to the city.

The BBC has confirmed how, if you haven’t got a ticket, you’ll be able to still see the performances and the city’s moment in the spotlight.

There will be live performances and highlights on BBC iPlayer throughout the course of Saturday 7 September and Sunday 8 September.

On Radio 2 itself there will be live shows from Moor Park from 10am on the Saturday and Sunday with DJs broadcasting live, as well as live performances from the acts on the bill.

The city will be on TV with The One Show broadcasting live from Moor Park on Friday (6 September) as the Pre-Party takes place with Radio 2 DJs entertaining the crowds.

BBC Breakfast will also be live from Moor Park on Saturday morning and then there’s coverage on BBC 2 of Sting’s headline performances on Saturday from 10.15pm and Pet Shop Boys on Sunday from 10pm. The BBC 2 coverage is not live.

A small number of tickets are still available for the Friday night BBC Radio 2 In The Park pre-party and for Sunday with booking via the BBC Radio 2 In The Park website. The Sunday show is expected to be finished by around 9.40pm.
