Fell Bistro in Longridge will close its doors at the end of the month to be replaced by a pizzeria from the same team.
Fell Bistro, on Berry Lane, will have its final service on September 29 after almost exactly two years in which the eatery was recognised with AA Rosettes and a place in the Michelin Guide.
Oh! Pizza, a Neapolitan-style pizzeria, will then open from October 3.

The management team at Fell, which includes Alex Blamire and chef director Oli Martin, said that it was ‘bittersweet’ to close the bistro but they felt the time was right.
One chef will leave the business as a result, with Fell Bistro head chef staying to lead Oh! Pizza having worked at Michelin-starred Italian restaurants in the past.
“Oh! Pizza is a dream come true for me,” said Matt Willdigg. “Pizza has always been a part of
my life.
“It reminds me of being with my family, and I believe everyone has that connection with
pizza. I’ve always wanted to open my own pizzeria, and I can’t wait to welcome everyone in
Longridge to come and enjoy what we’ve created.”
Oh! Pizza, which has been road-tested as a pop-up so far, will offering classic pizzas and signature toppings. Popular Fell Bistro starters such as the KFC-style Hen of the Woods mushrooms will stay on the menu.
