Patrycja Lazowska is bringing a national chain of baby classes for babies aged up to 14 months to the city.
Bloom Baby classes run across the UK and Patrycja says she was inspired after attending the sensory sessions herself while on maternity leave.
She said: “As I am a first time mum and was scared and anxious to leave the house, I was always a closed up and a shy person so joining a socialising group was a huge step for me. Going to the classes helped me to open up and speak to other parents, it’s a perfect environment to socialise.”
“Before Bloom, I was always working in an office within a finance department, which didn’t suit me anymore, I was devastated when thinking about going back to work so when an opportunity came to become a franchise owner, I didn’t think twice. Being able to provide the same support I was given to other families and spending more time with my precious baby is the most rewarding job I’ve ever had.”

The company has won several awards, including the What’s on 4 Kids award (four times) and BFA 100 best Franchises.
During the classes parents can expect a real focus on building a strong bond with their babies whilst also developing their skills through activities that help strengthen neck muscles, develop eye tracking skills and aid development of fine and gross motor skills. There are also ‘core songs’ repeated every week to help babies recognise patterns and retain information effectively.
The classes boast a range of sensory toys including baby safe fibre optic lights, shakers, parachutes, bubbles and much more.
Bloom Baby is also a supporter of Pandas foundation, offering a support service for families and their networks who may be suffering with perinatal mental illness, including prenatal (antenatal) and postnatal depression. In June, Bloom Baby Classes donated £2,000 to the charity.
Patrycja said: “I know myself how isolating it is to be on maternity leave especially when your partner goes back to work, Bloom is here not just for babies but also for care givers to gain confidence in themselves and go home with precious memories.”
“To anyone that’s interested in joining I would say don’t hesitate and come along. It’s a safe space for parents, grandparents and care givers to have fun, laugh and maybe even cry. It’s a baby led class so don’t be anxious if you’re a first time parent. All the families can expect a safe and warm environment, I want them to feel they’re a part of a community.”
The main locations are currently in Longridge and Catforth, but Patrycja is looking to expand the classes to different areas in PR3 and PR4. She also offers private nursery lessons.
