Search underway for missing 15-year-old with links to Preston

A police search is underway for a missing girl with links in Preston and other areas across the north.

Katelan, 15, whose surname has not been shared by police, was last seen near Revolution in North Road, Durham, on the afternoon of Tuesday, 23 July.

Along with links to Preston, she also has links to Manchester, Liverpool, Bolton, Burnley, Bradford and Halifax.

A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: “Can you help us find Katelan, who has been missing for almost two weeks?

“She was wearing a grey sweater, grey leggings, a long black puffer jacket, black Nike trainers and large diamante earrings.

“We believe she has recently been in the Cleveland area, but also has links to Manchester, Liverpool, Bolton, Preston, Burnley, Bradford, and Halifax.”

Detective Chief Inspector Mel Sutherland, from Durham Constabulary, added: “We are very concerned for Katelan’s welfare and are appealing to the public to report any possible sightings of her to us.

“Katelan lives in Newton Aycliffe, but has links to the Cleveland area, as well as West Yorkshire, Liverpool, and Manchester.”
