Gideon Allen, AKA Preston’s part-time witch, has turned his hand to many different crafts, and most recently he has added to his list of TV appearances; featuring on Final Straw Production’s new show, Date Me At My Worst.

Where contestants reveal their worst traits in hopes of still coupling up, because if you can love someone at their worst you can surely love them at their best.

Gideon, from Preston, not only reveals on the show that he’s a part time witch, but he also had an eerie premonition.

He said: “I just had an inkling the guy, his names Darcy, I knew what his revelation was before it was even read out, something just told me it was his. I literally just saw the card and knew it was Darcy’s and it was. I always go with my gut instinct and I’m always right.”

He claims his love of all things supernatural began at a young age with the magical mermaid show H2O Just Add Water and it appears he’s not the only one. Preston is apparently home to a very established witching community.

“There are other witches (in Preston) and some of them are actually my friends’ parents. There’s quite a few of us out there. Recently we went to a spiritualist church, I would definitely recommend it. It’s just people that are very spiritually connected, they’ve got the gift and they can channel it.”

He continued: “There’s actually training classes for witches, which I didn’t even know about. I’m self taught, hence why I’m part time.”

“We need more witches in this world, people need to open their third eye and just embrace it. Everyone’s always really scared and hesitant about it, I’m just all in. I do feel protected, I think I’m just open to it all.”

Aside from TV appearances and spending time with spirits, the 26-year-old has also found the time to become an inventor.

He explained: “I was facing a lot of sleep problems, and I thought what would really benefit me? In my head I thought surely this exists and I was sure I’d seen people wearing it so I googled it and nothing. So, I thought, can I see this because I’m supposed to create it?”

The project is being kept under wraps at the moment but will be released at some point this year.

He continued: “It’s going to be unveiled on TV and I’ve even been working with The Harris Museum and they’re going to have access to the prototype. I can’t reveal what it is but it’s basically wearable technology which helps people sleep.”

“It will be a little tribute to Preston, I’ve always gone to The Harris and next time I go when it’s reopened the product will be in there.”
