A popular pub in Preston is preparing to host a 90s and 00s nostalgia-themed event this weekend.
The event, which is free, will take place on Saturday 31 August for 12 hours at The Moorbrook.
It will be run by local DJs and promoters who are collaborating for the first time including Tony Abram and Danny Newbold.
They will go under the name ‘Groovy Tunes Productions’.

Tony, who has hosted previous events in Preston, said: “We are coming together basically to enjoy the old school, nostalgia dance vibes. We want to bring people together in a safe environment to enjoy the music, connect as a community and have a great time.
“Children are welcome into this energy for the day so that we have a family feel for the house music vibe. Expect to hear funky house, italo house, british house, 90s pop and there will even be some trance from DJs including, myself, Danny Newbold, DJ Smoke and DJ Scott Thomas. It will be a great day, we can’t wait.”
The courtyard area of The Moorbrook, based on North Road, will be transformed into a fun festival space, which will also be weatherproof.
There promises to be something for all the family during the day including crafting, record and merchandise stalls and games.
DJs will be providing a family-fun soundtrack from 3pm with the best 00s anthems, then at 7pm the theme will switch to a 90s adult vibe.
Music will be played by Suddy, Forza, Scott Thomas, Adam Simpson, Smoke & Krane and Lenny Ferguson.

Local DJ and promoter Jadie Swales-Barnes added: “The day events The Moorbrook have started putting on with DJs in the courtyard since the summer have been spot on so far. It’s a great venue for it – very intimate and also, importantly, fairly weatherproof.
“The manager, Richard Fisher-Godwin, has been welcoming local promoters and DJs to host their events at The Moorbrook, a couple of which I’ve played at myself, which have had a nice vibe. It’s great to have been involved and we are grateful to Rich for giving us the opportunity to host our events there.”
The 12-hour day will run from 1pm until 1am. To find out more you can visit their Facebook group.
