Man charged in connection with one-day burglary spree in Preston

A man has been charged after a spree of burglaries and attempted burglaries in Preston last month.

The man has been charged with two burglaries, eight attempted burglaries and the theft of a pedal cycle after an investigation by Preston Police’s Burglary Team.

Christopher Booth, 37, of no fixed address, was arrested in Preston yesterday afternoon (14 August).

The burglaries and attempted burglaries were all reported in the St Thomas Road area of Preston on 11 July.

After consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Booth was charged with eleven offences in total.

He has been remanded and was due to appear before Preston Magistrates’ Court today (15 August).
