A section of Preston’s new flood defence wall has already been covered in graffiti.
The new wall, which is yet to have its anti-graffiti coating, has been targeted on panels running on the Penwortham side of the river opposite the section between the Conti and Riverside.
The wall faces towards the Preston side of the river where the graffiti has been scrawled on.

An Environment Agency spokesperson said: “Our contractor is working to remove the graffiti as soon as possible and looking into additional measures to stop people getting into the construction site.
“Anti-graffiti coating has been used on completed sections of the new flood wall but unfortunately had not yet been applied to these under construction.”
Work on the £54.7million scheme is expected to finish the Broadgate and Penwortham section later this year and then move onto the Walton-le-Dale section close to the London Road bridge.
