Domino’s is to open a new takeaway in Chorley town centre.
The pizza giant is set to open its latest site in the New Market Street Unit which was last used by betting firm Ladbrokes. The international firm won planning permission to transform the unit earlier this year and has now lodged separate plans to add new signage on the shopfront.
According to its own plans, the new takeaway will operate from 11am-11pm seven days a week. Domino’s says it will employ its staff from the local area but has not said how many jobs will be created.

It has also not revealed a planned opening date for the new site. In its original application, which was approved in May, it said: “It has been demonstrated that the site is an appropriate location for the proposed use which is located within the town centre of Chorley where main town centres, including hot food takeaways, are acceptable in principle.
“The relevant Local Plan policy specifically supports these uses subject to there not being any adverse impact on the Primary Shopping Area [and] we do not consider that there will be any adverse impact and the principle of development should be acceptable.”
If approved, the new application will allow the installation of signs across the front of the building and an internally located LED screen.
