Blog Preston will launch Preston North End coverage from next month thanks to a new partnership with football fanzine The Nose Bag.

The partnership will see interviews and features from The Nose Bag, which is owned and operated by Chris Black, published to Blog Preston – giving them an online presence for the first time.

The Nose Bag, which is published quarterly, will remain editorially independent and in control of what it publishes.

Chris, owner of The Nose Bag, said: “I’m happy to be working with Blog Preston to bring PNE coverage to their site for the first time.

“It’s a big step for The Nose Bag, something I do just as a hobby and love for the club – even in the rough times – and I hope it just helps get what we do to even more people.”

Luke Beardsworth, co-editor of Blog Preston, said: “It’s remarkable that Chris – with no background in journalism – has pulled all this together out of pure passion and drive from his home in Preston. That’s the sort of person anyone would want to work with.

“PNE coverage has long been the most obvious missing thing from what we do at Blog Preston and it’s nice to be able to remedy that.”

Blog Preston’s coverage will include articles published in The Nose Bag along with our own content looking at issues that matter most to fans.

We won’t replicate what George Hodgson does at the Lancashire Post – there won’t be match reports and we won’t attend press conferences for the time being.

But from fan culture and nostalgia, through to interviews and addressing issues such as the matchday experience, we look forward to offering a different sort of read.

Blog Preston co-editor Kate Rosindale said: “As a Townender, I’m really pleased we’re partnering with Chris.

“The Nose Bag is a key part of North End fan culture and it’ll be great to get more eyes on the spirit, humour and creativity that exists on the terraces.”

If you think there’s something we should be writing about, please contact Luke at luke@blogpreston.co.uk. You can also contact The Nose Bag at tnbfanzine@yahoo.com or follow them on X here.

Issues of The Nose Bag can be viewed here and we encourage our Preston North End fan readers to take an annual subscription for £8.
