Fencing and production trucks have begun to arrive on Moor Park as the set up for the BBC Radio 2 In The Park festival begins.
The city is hosting the three-day music festival with the likes of Sting, Pet Shop Boys, Craig David and Paul Heaton heading for Preston during the first full weekend of September.
Signs have gone up around Moor Park with ‘production trucks’ and warnings of potential road closures too.

The festival takes place during Saturday 7 September and Sunday 8 September, with a DJ-event on the Friday 6 September evening.
Speaking to Blog Preston earlier this week, Head of BBC Radio 2, Helen Thomas, said: “It’s a big logistical challenge to bring the whole festival together.
“When we’re looking for locations then it’s important we find a park, like Moor Park, which is big enough to host us.
“There’s a lot of infrastructure that goes in to be able to host more than 60,000 people across the weekend. Plus we have the additional day on the Friday evening this year too with our DJ pre-party.
“The set up takes a good two weeks with all the stages, studios and everything else being put in. We have such a talented team who help make sure it all runs smoothly and we have the best facilities there for people.”
