England fans spilled out into Church Street to mark Gareth Southgate’s side reaching the final.

A rain-sodden throng of fans danced their way out of the city’s pubs, bars and Fan Zone after the final whistle.

Ollie Watkins late winner sent the city centre into a frenzy as England beat the Netherlands to set up a clash with Spain in the final on Sunday.

Preston Police said no arrests were made during the Wednesday (10 July) evening in the city centre – as the celebrations passed off peacefully.

The city’s Fan Zone saw hundreds of fans endure torrential downpours during a tense semi-final with England leaving it late once again to secure their passage through.

Those watching on TV spotted Preston North End flags during the celebrating England fans in Dortmund.

Preston’s Fanzone will be back on Sunday evening – with organisers Preston Business Improvement District saying around 75 per cent of tickets have already been taken for it. It is £6 per person for entry to watch the game on the big screen on the Flag Market.
