Ringway in Preston closed due to ongoing police incident

A key road in Preston is closed this evening while police deal with an incident.
Police are the scene of a concern for welfare incident on Ringway in Preston. They reported the incident at 6.26pm this evening (17 July).
Ringway is closed between Ribbleton Lane and North Road and police said they expect it to be closed for some time.

A spokesperson for police said: “We’re currently at the scene of a road closure on Ringway in Preston at the junction of Ribbleton Lane to the junction with North Road.
“The road is closed due to concern for welfare and we anticipate this will be closed for some time.”
Police re-opened the road shortly after 10pm on Wednesday evening.
