A little giraffe has been added to the spot near Barton, between Preston and Garstang, where Jerry stands atop a trailer.
David Evans, owner of Stone UK, has put Jerry back together after the giraffe was damaged by gale-force winds.
He said: “We’ve had so many people asking about whether the M6 Giraffe is going to come back. It was the highlight of their motorway journey. We’re really pleased we can make this happen again.”
Jerry and his companion were put into place during Saturday (20 July) morning with drivers quick to spot the pair.
Contributors to the Preston, Lancashire traffic group – run by Blog Preston – were quick to spot Jerry back.
Pete Jones said: “Wow. Disappears for all this time and then thinks it can come back and it’s not an issue. Some neck on that.”
Jane Wright said: “Yay! Not the same without it.”
Paula White added: “Fabulous. I’ve missed it every week as I drive to and from Carnforth.”
