St. Walburge’s has the highest church spire of any parish church in England, standing at 305ft it’s a prominent feature of the Preston skyline. The fair will aid the funding of the restoration project.

Opened in 1854, the church and its subsidiary buildings need urgent repairs due to the inevitable decay as well as deterioration caused by severe weather in recent years. Improvements also needed include better disability access, a new heating system and repairs to the parish hall and library.
