Preston North End vs Fiorentina announced as pre-season friendly

A European finalist will be coming to Deepdale as part of Preston North End’s pre-season campaign.

Fiorentina, who finished eighth in Italian top division Serie A and reached the UFEA Conference League final, will be the opponents for the Lilywhites on Saturday, 27 July.

The Italian side are best known for their distinctive purple kit and their iconic club legend Gabriel Batistuta. They can count Giovanni Trapattoni, Claudio Ranieri and Roberto Mancini among their former managers.

Tickets information for the fixture has not yet been released.

Preston North End’s pre-season fixtures include clashes with Lincoln City, Southport, Bamber Bridge, Salford City and Everton.
