Plans have been lodged to build six more homes on the edge of Grimsargh.
If approved, the plans would see the properties built on the site currently occupied by Grimsargh House at 339 Preston Road, close to where Grimsargh butts up against Alston.

The current house would stay, albeit with the existing garage demolished to make way for a new access road, and the proposed houses would be built on land currently occupied by stables and hardstanding areas.
In its planning statement, PWA Planning notes that this is a resubmission of plans which were originally turned down in 2017.
It adds: “The road is characterised primarily by residential development, and village centre uses before continuing out of the settlement onto more rural locations.
“Additionally, newer residential developments are becoming of growing prominence within the area, changing its character to increasingly more suburban.
“This is mainly due to the field immediately south-west of the application site which has extant permission for 150 homes. Once entirely built out this will fundamentally change the outlook of the site.”
The full planning application can be viewed on the Preston City Council website.
