A man has been ordered to pay a fine after taking over £600 worth of clothes from a store.

Police were called on Tuesday (25 June) after reports the items had been taken from TK Maxx at the Capital Centre.

A 23-year-old man, Eduard Csiszer, was arrested at the scene and later charged with theft from a shop.

He was remanded into custody and appeared in court yesterday (27 June) where he pleaded guilty to theft and was told to pay a £120 fine and £133 in costs.

A spokesperson for police said: “Operation Vulture is Lancashire Constabulary’s response to shoplifting across the county.

“The operation will see dedicated officers undertaking hotspot patrolling, increasing their visibility in targeted areas and creating strong partnerships with retailers across the county to better share intelligence, get a deeper understanding of retail crime and identify more offenders.”
