Lostock Hall Carnival returns later this month.
The Carnival will take place on Saturday 29 June. It will start at 11am with a 5km road race organised in partnership with Runsmart.
This will be followed at 12pm by a silver screen-themed procession celebrating the diverse community groups within the local area.
A Wacky Races event will see teams compete in their own people-powered vehicles as they race though the village from the train station to the finish line at The Wishing Well.
The recreational ground will have a fair, food stalls, craft stalls and displays including a children’s entertainer.
A Lostock Hall Village Committee spokesperson said: “The event has something for everyone, young or old and anywhere in between.”
