Fylde Vintage Steam and Farm Show returning for 15th time

Enjoying the sights at a previous Fylde Vintage Steam and Farm Show

Fylde Vintage Steam & Farm Show is set to return for its 15th year.

The event is due to take place from Friday 28th – Sunday 30th June and will support Rosemere Cancer Foundation.

The show opens on Friday evening with a headline performance by swing singer Arthur Geldard.

Gates then re-open at 9.30am on both Saturday and Sunday until dark.

Fylde Vintage Steam & Farm Show includes 600 restored with 32 steam engines, a collection of classic cars and motorbikes, four-by-fours and vintage tractors on display.

This is along with child-friendly activities such as tractor and trailer rides, a fairground, a Big Top with circus entertainers and magicians, donkey rides, alpaca walking and petting plus a mini zoo.

There will also be an arts and crafts sections with demonstrations of chainsaw sculpture, smithy skills and sheep shearing.

As part of the same programme of live acts, there is a dog and duck show, dog show, birds of prey display, live music from a line-up of bands and DJs with a Saturday night headline performance by vocalist Alison D, a licensed beer tent, 30 food vendors, ice cream vans and a host of different stalls.

On Sunday afternoon, the show’s famous tractors and farm machinery auction will take place.

Crop farmer David Martin, who is show organiser and who owns the land in Salwick Road, Wharles, will be auctioning a blue mid 70s, cab on Leyland 270 tractor from his collection of tractors.

The money will be donated to Rosemere Cancer Foundation.

Since 2018 when David auctioned his first tractor for Rosemere Cancer Foundation at the show, he has raised £28,910 for the charity.

Tickets for the show are £12 for adults, £4 for children (five – 16 years), £10 concessions and £28 per family (two adults, two children). Parking is free.

Camping is also available Friday evening until Sunday for a £70 pitch fee that includes show entry for up to two adults and two children.
