Concern grows for missing 63-year-old woman last seen near Longridge

A woman last seen in a small village near Longridge and Ribchester has triggered a police appeal.

Update: Elaine was found safe and well during Wednesday evening, the public are thanked for sharing the appeal

Elaine Scott, 63, was last seen at the Co-Op store in Old Clitheroe Road, Dutton.

Police say the last sighting of Elaine was on May 27 between 1.15pm to 1.30pm.

A police spokesperson said: “Since Elaine was reported missing, we’ve carried out a number of enquires offline, but are now asking for your help.”

Police say Elaine, who is described as 5’6″, slim build with long grey hair, may have two large suitcases with her.

She has links to Longridge, Dutton, Clitheroe, the wider Ribble Valley and Lytham.

Anyone who sees her should call 999 and anyone with information should call police on 101 quoting log 0442 of June 7.
