Chorley’s library has been temporarily closed by Lancashire County Council.
The council hasn’t confirmed what the repairs entail but it is hoped they will be complete by Sunday 30 June.
Customers have been reassured that all books on loan will be automatically renewed while the building is closed.

Kathryn Boothroyd, libraries and heritage Manager at Lancashire County Council said: “We’re very sorry for any inconvenience that this closure may cause. There are a number of alternative libraries nearby that are still open, as well as our online services. We will update our website as soon as we know exactly when we’re able to reopen.”
Alternative libraries include Adlington, Clayton Green, Coppull, Eccleston, Euxton and Leyland. The Digital Library is also available for Library Members offering eBooks and eAudiobooks and an eReference library.
