Arrest made after ‘large quantities of alcohol’ taken from Booths in Fulwood

A man who has taken large quantities of alcohol from a supermarket in Fulwood has been arrested.

Preston Police say they’ve arrested a 19-year-old man, of no fixed abode, following a string of five thefts dating back to June 7.

The alcohol was taken from the Booths store in Sharoe Green Lane. Police confirmed a total of 32 bottles of vodka, gin and whiskey were taken – all 70cl bottles – worth around £1,475.

The man is being questioned on suspicion of theft from a shop.
