Archbishop Temple Church of England High School in Fulwood celebrated its 60th birthday over the weekend.
On Saturday 15 June, a family fun day marked the special occasion on the school grounds.
The weather was on their side, staying dry for most of the morning, allowing Archbishop families to try dishes from different stalls serving freshly cooked Indian cuisine and traditional English food.

At the end of the day there was a raffle, with 68 prizes on offer, ranging from a hospitality ticket for a family of four for the QPR vs PNE game, a signed PNE football and family meals in local restaurants.
Mr Catlow, Headteacher, and Mrs Dudeniac, Deputy Headteacher, agreed the school’s 60th Birthday Celebration Family Fun Day had been an amazing success.
Justine Sumner, Chair of the PTA and organiser of the event, said: “We faced a few challenges with being let down at the last minute with fairground rides and a pizza van, but we soon overcame them with last minute replacements.
“This and a little rain could not spoil our party. I am so proud to be part of the amazing team that is FABS (Friends of Archbishop Temple Church of England School). Here’s to our next event.”
