A man is in hospital and two people have been charged after an assault in Ribbleton at the weekend.
Police were called to Burnslack Road at 9.10pm on Sunday (5 May) to reports of a disturbance.
They found a man in his 20s with head injuries. He is currently in hospital, police said.

John Tait, 43, of Browsholme Avenue, Preston, and a 14-year-old boy have both been charged with section 18 grievous bodily harm with intent. John Tait was remanded to appear before Preston Magistrates Court today, and the 14-year-old was remanded to appear at Preston Youth Court.
Police are appealing to the public to help trace another man in connection with the incident.
Jordan Tait, 25, is 6ft with dark brown hair. Police have released an image of him, along with a warning not to approach him, but instead to contact them.
