Two people were taken to hospital after a house fire in Preston this morning.
Crews from Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service were called to an address on Shelley Road in Ashton-on-Ribble at around 7.32am this morning (30 May).
Emergency services closed off sections of the road while they dealt with the incident, where smoke and flames could be seen from nearby.

Crews used hose reels to extinguish the fire while two people were taken to hospital for treatment.
A spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service said: “Two patients were taken to hospital for further treatment.”
A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service said: “At 07:32 on 30 May 2024, three fire engines from Preston and Penwortham attended a domestic premises on Shelley Road, Preston.
“Firefighters are currently on scene using four breathing apparatus, two hose reels and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.”
