Second man sought after violent robbery near Fishergate Hill

Police want to speak to a man following a robbery near Fishergate Hill.

A man was assaulted by two men in Good Street and had items taken including a phone, cash and jewellery.

Preston Police say the robbery took place around 3.55pm on Wednesday 8 May.

John Ashcroft, 43, of Tulketh Road, Ashton-on-Ribble has been charged with robbery and fraud by false representation and appeared a Preston Magistrates’ Court on Monday 13 May.

Police are still looking for a second man and have released a CCTV image in connection with the attack.

Anyone who recognises the man pictured or who witnessed the incident is asked to call police on 101 quoting log 1017 of 8 May.
