A hugely popular local music event is returning to Ribchester park this Saturday, May 18.
Now in its eighth year, Rock on the Rec will host seven local bands and there will be a bar, food stalls and fairground rides throughout the day.
Entry is free, but donations are welcome and encouraged when entering Ribchester park, which is known locally as The Rec. Ample parking will be available on the day for those interested in attending, with overflow parking also provided.

The event is the major fundraiser for Ribchester Rovers Football Club, which now has 23 teams across varying age groups.
Tracy Ormisher, who is a leading member of the Rock on the Rec organising committee, said: “The ethos of the football club is about providing an environment of fun for all those who play.
“We are a community engaged club which aims to provide football for all and Rock on the Rec plays a major role in allowing us to do that throughout the year.”
Starting at 12.30pm and running until about 9pm, local bands and artists will include Sam Holden, Alphabetical Twins, Bonny and the Jetz, Hit the North (featuring Sam Wolfenden), The Original Fat Jacks Garage, Wild Aces, and Dilemmas.
Organisers reminded people who are planning to attend that alcohol cannot be brought onto the park but, instead, it will be available from the bar and raise funds for the football club in the process.
No dogs are allowed onto the park during the day.
