Legendary Preston shop Willy Banjo is set to celebrate its 30th birthday with a charity bash at The Ferret.
Willy Banjo is well known for serving the smoking and party fans of Preston with a variety of goods including including bongs, pipes and rave sunglasses.
Owner Dave Hyde established the business in 1993, before opening the store in Lowthian Street in 1994.
Speaking to Blog Preston, Dave said: “From humble beginnings, we have adapted to consumer preferences and technological advancements.
“Despite the challenges and uncertainties that come with running a business, we have continued our commitment to excellence, innovation, and community engagement.”
The 30th birthday party will take place at The Ferret on Saturday 1 June from 2pm. The line-up features performers including Altern-8, DJ Tony Cannon and The Filth Wizard.
Willy Banjo will continue its proud tradition of giving back to the community by donating £3 from every ticket sold to The Foxton Centre.
Dave added: “Over the years, Willy Banjo charity events have raised over £10,000, contributing to various initiatives that make a positive impact in our community.
“We are been passionate about supporting charitable causes, and our anniversary party is no exception.”
For Dave, reaching the milestone of 30 years in business fills him pride and gratitude.
“It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, as well as the unwavering support of our customers and partners,” he said.
“We are truly grateful for the opportunity to serve the Preston community and beyond for three decades, and we look forward to many more years of success and growth.”
