A man’s walk around Avenham and Miller Parks has been ‘spoiled’ at the weekend by overflowing rubbish.
Daniel Thompson, who lives in Preston, went for a stroll on Sunday afternoon and noticed every bin was full.
He started his walk near Winckley Square and continued to The Continental where rubbish was ‘blowing all over the park’ and people were still trying to put litter into bins which were full.

Daniel said: “The council should be on the ball about bins especially on a busy weekend such as this, and people need to think about taking their rubbish with them if the bins are full.”
The warm weather spell brought many people out to enjoy Preston’s parks.
A Preston City Council spokesperson said: “We are sorry to hear of their (Daniel’s) concern. We were inundated with visitors over the weekend due to the fabulous weather and lots of people wanting to enjoy our lovely park.
“However, this did mean that excessive litter was produced. This was removed as soon as possible.”
