Man charged after Fishwick cross-Channel small boats raid

A man is due to appear in court after being charged with organising cross-Channel small boat crossings.

National Crime Agency officers raided a property in Stefano Road in Fishwick during Sunday (5 May) morning.

Iranian national Amanj Hasan Zada, 34, of Stefano Road – which is just off New Hall Lane – will appear before Preston Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (7 May).

He has been charged with two counts of faciliating illegal immigration in relation to two crossings made from France to the UK in November and December last year.

The NCA say they are continuing their investigation following the Fishwick raid.
