Man and teenage boy arrested as police investigate London Road rape

A 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy have been arrested as a rape investigation continues in Preston.

A teenage girl reported she had been sexually assaulted in a wooded area off London Road, Frenchwood, during Sunday 12 May evening.

A 16-year-old boy from Preston has been arrested on suspicion of rape and remains in custody.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape and bailed pending further enquiries.

The victim is being supported by specially trained officers.

Preston Police are continuing to appeal for anyone with information to contact them on 101 quoting log 1498 of May 12.
