A Preston band is setting out to demonstrate that you can do a tour without giving up the comfort of sleeping in your own bed.

Zvilnik – made up of Paddy on vocals and guitar, Tom on bass and Claire on drums – are stalwarts of the city’s music scene, serving up sci-fi prog surf cabaret rock.

The band’s ‘Going Nowhere Slow 2024’ tour will start at The Continental on Wednesday (8 May) in support of Erotic Secrets Of Pompeii.

Zvilnik will follow this up over a month later with an appearance at Chew’s Yard, on Friday 7 June.

The band will then play The Ferret on Saturday 6 July with Neon Love and Masters of the Scene, in honour of Paddy’s 50th birthday.

The extensive tour will be rounded off on Saturday 10 August at Vinyl Tap.

Paddy said: “Zvilnik are embarking on a gruelling multi-month tour of Preston and not even the surrounding areas.

“We’ll be playing at some of the city’s most iconic and newest venues during the punishing schedule.”

Paddy added: “Why endure hours of uncomfortable travel around the country when we have all we need right here in the magical metropolis of Preston?”
