Shoppers in Preston city centre were treated to a range of modern line dance performances this Saturday (4 May).

A group of all ages and genders performed back-to-back modern line dances to a range of different songs at 1.30pm and again at 3.30pm.

The routines took over 40 minutes in total, with waltzes, east coast swings, west coast swings, cha chas and street dances to all types of music.

The complexity ranged from absolute beginner to advanced, with people joining in with whatever stage they were comfortable with.

Described as “not your stereotypical country ‘yee haw’ boot slapping, gallon hat dancing but Strictly without a partner,” the dancing attracted a big crowd.
