Planned roadworks for a busy route between Penwortham and Lostock Hall have been put back by a month.
A stretch of Leyland Road from the Bee Lane roundabout to the former Sumpter Horse pub was due to see temporary traffic lights for 10-days in May.
But Lancashire County Council highways bosses say due to other roadworks taking place nearby in and around Penwortham they’ve had a re-think.
The works were due to take place from Tuesday 7 May for 10 days but they are now going to take place from Monday 10 June instead.

A spokesperson for the county council told Blog Preston: “The installation of two new bus stops in Leyland Road, on the stretch of road from the former Sumpter Horse pub to The Cawsey, were due to start on 7 May 2024.
“However, a decision has been made to reschedule these works as works are currently being undertaken nearby and when combined, this would have caused a significant amount of congestion in the area.
“The works at Leyland Road are now scheduled to begin on 10 June 2024 and are expected to be complete within 10 days.
“The works includes installing two bus shelters and bus stop markings, altering small amount kerbs and footway.”
