Preston was treated to a dazzling display in the sky on Friday night.
The Northern Lights were clearly visible as the city looked upwards.
Starting just after 11pm the light show continued for a few hours with Prestonians taking to social media to share their pictures and deluging the Blog Preston inbox with their snaps of the Aurora Borealis.

An intense solar storm means the Northern Lights are more visible than usual and coming further south.
It is expected they will be visible again during Saturday (11 May) evening too.
