Evergreen Early Years in Preston hosted a charity Spring fair last week, raising over £1,000 in memory of their much missed friend and colleague.
The annual event, open to families and the community, was held at their semi-rural setting in Ladyewell in Fulwood.
The day remembered Christine, who passed away three years ago, and raised money for Evergreen’s partner charity, The British Heart Foundation.

There were activities and stalls, from cakes, a barbecue, face painting and a lucky dip as well as a raffle, with prizes donated by local businesses.
A penalty shoot-out also saw a player from one of the local Cadley Football Teams in goals.
A spokesperson for Evergreen said: “An amazing time was had by all in the beautiful sunshine.
“People gave generously to such a good cause and the event successfully raised £1,079.01.”

Evergreen holds the fair every May, to celebrate ‘what a wonderful friend and colleague Christine was to all who had the pleasure to know and work with her.’
Evergreen added: “Her family and friends always join the early years team to remember her and celebrate her life.
“We are already thinking about what we can do next year.”
Their Just Giving page , which has just hit £1,150, will be open until the end of the month for those who would like to donate to The British Heart Foundation.
