The body of a man who had been missing since March has been found.
Richard Parker, from Wrea Green, had been missing since 4 March when police undertook an extensive land and sea operation to find him.
Lancashire Constabulary received a report of a body in the sea at Lytham on 5 May. Formal identification confirmed that the body was the missing 62-year-old.

A spokesperson for police said: “Sadly, formal identification has now taken place, and we can confirm that that body was Richard.
“His loved ones have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this incredibly upsetting time. Richard’s death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be passed to the coroner in due course.”
