Mattresses, rotting fruit and vegetables and rubbish have been left on a side street off New Hall Lane for the last two weeks.
Preston City Council says it is taking action to try and clamp down on the persistent problems in Dundonald Street.
Karen Greaves contacted Blog Preston after becoming fed up of the state the street was being left in. She is regularly in Dundonald Street to visit her elderly mother who lives nearby.

Karen told Blog Preston: “It’s been like this for almost two weeks. It’s getting bigger by the day.
“It’s an ongoing problem at this site. We’ve got businesses dumping waste there as well.
“Also dumped on a regular basis are home and furniture items.
“Walking past this is awful you have to step into the road as it completely swamps the pavement.
“I’ve complained to the council a few times, but it just keeps repeatedly happening.
“On windy days it blows down the street, rats have been seen there and it is a serious health hazard.”

A spokesperson for the city council said: “We have been made aware of an ongoing issue with fly tipping on Dundonald Street, Preston.
“An investigation is currently underway to find the culprits. Work is ongoing in the area to educate residents on how to dispose of waste properly and legally. Residents are also urged to continue reporting individual fly tipping cases online.”
Anyone who spots fly-tipping can report it via the city council website.
