Emergency services were scrambled to a serious crash in Grimsargh.
Preston Road was shut in both directions by Preston Police.
The crash took place around 6.45pm on Tuesday (30 April). Police have now confirmed a man in his 60s, died in the crash.

The air ambulance landed near St Michael’s Church. It was seen departing around 8pm.
Eyewitnesses reported seeing paramedics giving CPR in the road.
Traffic was being diverted via Whittingham Lane. Preston Road remained closed until around 11.30pm on Tuesday evening.
A police spokesperson said: “We are at the scene of a road closure on Preston Road, Grimsargh.
“The road is closed in both directions between the roundabout on Longridge Road at Red Scar to the junction with Ribblesdale Road. This is due to a road traffic collision.”
