A new, upgraded family centre in South Ribble was opened last week in the heart of Lostock Hall.
The centre will host Finleys Families and the Tippytoes Baby Bank, supporting families, new parents and children across the community.
As part of South Ribble Borough Council’s investment into Lostock Hall and in support of both organisations’ work, the council provided a £300,000 upgrade to the facility, with Mayor of South Ribble, Councillor Chris Lomax officially opening the building.
In the centre, there is a new kitchen, changing spaces, a shower and laundry room. The building is modern helping families in the borough to enjoy the space and get the support they need.

Finleys Families will provide play sessions and a space for families who may be vulnerable to isolation or need support and Tippytoes BabyBank will be on hand to provide new parents with vital baby supplies and products.
Councillor Paul Foster, Leader of South Ribble Borough Council said: “I am so pleased that we were able to support this incredible facility. What the team at Finleys Families and the Tippytoes BabyBank do is truly inspiring and there are so many families and children across the borough who have already benefitted from their brilliant work.
“As a council we want to make sure that as many people as possible have access to the support they need, and I’m so glad we can provide investment into this facility in Lostock Hall where families, parents and children can spend time, have fun through play and get any support they need.
“I’d encourage anyone seeking support to check out their Facebook page to see what is on offer at the centre.”
