A Preston-based makeup artist has won a national award for her work in the industry.
Zsannett Peter won the makeup artist of the year category in the English Hair and Beauty Awards 2024.
The ceremony took place on Sunday 7 April at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel.

Speaking about her win, Zsannett said: “I have never thought I could win an award like this! I was honestly speechless and froze the first few seconds and I couldn’t believe they called my name.
“I have worked very hard for this in these last few years despite of facing so many challenges. I have to mention my friend Gabriella who was there with me, she’s been a massive support and help during this competition, she’s a brilliant video editor and director.”

A spokesperson for The English Hair and Beauty Awards 2024 said: “Winning an award in this prestigious competition is a significant achievement, as it acknowledges the talent and hard work of hair and beauty professionals and sets a benchmark for others to follow.

Meanwhile, a Preston-based beauty therapist has been nominated for beauty therapist of the year at the same awards.
Broughton beauty therapist Louise Williamson is up for the award and will find out on 1 June if she has won.
She said: “As a dedicated beauty therapist with a passion for my craft and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to my clients, this recognition means the world to me.
“I am honoured to have the opportunity to showcase Preston’s thriving beauty industry at the UK hair and beauty awards on the 1st of June.”
