An accountancy firm based in Preston has smashed its fundraising target for Rosemere Cancer Charity, which was their charity of the year in 2023.
The firm, SBCA Chartered Accountants which is based on Moor Park Avenue, has donated £12,060 to the charity, over £1,000 more than its goal.
Throughout the year, the team and their clients, families and friends hosted a range of fundraising activities from abseils to bake-offs.

The firm were also match day sponsors for a Preston Grasshoppers’ game, where they added over £2,300 to the pot with raffles and games.
Principal Chris Bond said: “Heartfelt thanks to everyone who pitched in for your incredible generosity and spirit of giving.
“Way to go, Team SBCA – you’ve proven that accountants know how to mix business with pleasure and can rock the fundraising game like pros!”
Chris also added that he “couldn’t be prouder,” especially with knowing how many people have been touched by Rosemere’s work.

Sue Swire, fundraising manager for Rosemere Cancer Foundation, said: “The team at SBCA set themselves a huge fundraising target and to significantly exceed that in the current financial climate is just amazing.
“We are incredibly grateful to the whole team and everyone who has supported the company’s year-long commitment to Rosemere Cancer Foundation. The donation equates to a big pay-off for patients in terms of the projects we can put it towards.”
The money raised will go towards providing cancer treatments and services across Lancashire and South Cumbria.
