A new sign at a busy Preston junction has been left missing a ‘p’.
Lane Ends in Ashton-on-Ribble saw a new road sign for Woodplumpton Road installed above the Boots store.
But bungling Preston City Council sign fitters unfortunately missed a key letter.

‘Woodplumton Road’ isn’t a new addition to Google Maps for the city.
Eagle-eyed Blog Preston reader, Karen Earnshaw, said: “The new signs are good to see but it’s a shame our city council can’t spell the names of their own roads.”
A spokesperson for Preston City Council told Blog Preston: “We are aware of the sign at Woodplumpton Road and a replacement sign has been ordered with installation taking place within the next few weeks.”
