There are major delays on the M6 around Junction 31 in both directions due to a crash.
Two lanes were shut on the M6 southbound from Junction 31 back up to Junction 32 – a full closure was previously enforced.
A crash took place around 12noon on Monday (15 April) and there are delays of at least 50 minutes against usual traffic conditions according to Highways England North West and Traffic England.

The crash was also causing congestion on the northbound side of the M6 from Junction 31 (Tickled Trout) back to the slip road from the M61 junction.
A spokesperson for Preston Police told Blog Preston: “Two vehicles are involved in the crash and there are minor injuries.”
As of shortly before 1pm on Monday the delays on the M6 southbound now stretch nearly back to Junction 33 for Garstang. The delays on the M6 northbound have eased.
All lanes were re-opened around 1.10pm on the M6 southbound.
