Preston didn’t let the rain dampen spirits for the annual Easter Egg rolling.
Both hard-boiled eggs and the chocolate variety went flying down Avenham Park’s slopes.
Chased by children and adults alight, there was mud sliding and more at the tradition which dates back to Victorian times.

As well as the hourly organised egg rolls there were food stalls and family-entertainment throughout Avenham and Miller Park. You can see our Live video stream on Facebook from the 12-noon egg roll.
