Giving an update in February, when signage first began to appear, cabinet member for highways and transport county councillor Rupert Swarbrick said: “People may have noticed that markings and some signage have gone in ahead of the changes being made to Corporation Street later this year.
“Once this bus gate becomes operational, all car parks will still be accessible, but the routes may be slightly different to reach them.
“Nothing is changing for now and we will let people know in plenty of time, so that people will have more details about it and how it may affect their journey.”
No date has been given for when the bus gate will become operational.
