A number businesses are set to unite to raise even more funds for local charities when they host their annual Charity Golf Day at Ashton and Lea Golf Club on Friday 24 May.
In just four years, the event has raised over £20,000 for local charities. Now in its fifth year, the tournament, organised by Evolve Document Solutions and Stone Create, is targeting a record amount for Ormskirk-based Rainbow Hub.
Over 70 golfers are expected to participate in the event, which offers breakfast, lunch, and prizes for competitors.
Daniel Maddox, managing director of Evolve Document Solutions, said: “We’re thrilled to be hosting our fifth annual Charity Golf Day alongside our mates at Stone Create. It’s a simple idea that blends a business networking opportunity with the sport we all love to help make a difference to a local charity.
“It’s a day we all look forward to, not just for the love of the game but for the incredible opportunity it presents to support this year’s charity, Rainbow Hub. They do phenomenal work in our community, and it’s a privilege to help them continue their vital services. Here’s to a fantastic day of golf, laughter, and generosity!”

Rainbow Hub offers rehabilitation services for children with brain injuries. The initiative aims to enhance the physical, social, and emotional well-being of up to 85 families weekly by providing them with essential support and therapies.
National sporting figures have supported previous tournaments, helping to highlight the business community’s commitment to charitable causes, including Heartbeat and The Philip Maher Foundation.
Shane Friend, managing director of Stone Create, added: “Joining forces with Evolve Document Solutions for this golf day is one of the highlights of our year. This year’s charity golf day isn’t just about who takes home the trophy, it’s a chance to contribute to Rainbow Hub’s mission of empowering children to thrive despite their challenges.
“We’re all set for an unforgettable day, and hopefully, we’ll smash our fundraising target. Let’s make it a day to remember for everyone involved!”
The fee is £260 per team of four to take part. This covers golf, breakfast, lunch, and refreshments for a full day of sport and networking. The top three teams win prizes. There will also be prizes for the longest drives and those nearest to the pin.
Businesses wishing to enter teams can reserve their place by contacting Shane Friend on 01772 802882 or Daniel Maddox on 01772 269033.
